Firefox Release Recap: December Week 2 — 1 Comment

  1. I’m mystified. I’ve tried installing 3.6b4 both as a user and as sudo in /usr/share (using “tar xjvf firefox-long-string.bz2″).

In both cases, it says it has no connection to the net, and complains about missing two libs which are both right there in the top level dir. (Don’t remember exactly, but it was something like libmoz???.so and lib??tk??.so.) I’ve never seen this error before, and have no idea what I might be doing wrong. My other FF install (3.5.5) has no trouble connecting.

Has anybody else reported this? I’ve installed 3.6b1 and higher under virtualbox and had no trouble. :totally confused:
